Speaking Your Truth

Of all the words you will ever utter there is nothing more important for your health and well-being and the health and well-being of the persons you are communicating with than the decision to engage the simple but powerful energy of
Speaking Your Truth
and honoring your story.

The commitment to choose this path of personal assertiveness is critical for many reasons and let me start with the effect this choice has on you.

When you speak your truth you have the comfort of truly being yourself...not pretending to feel what you think someone else wants to hear.

You carry no residual backlash from the masquerade of giving an answer that meets someone else's need.

You meet YOUR need (to be yourself) and that is your primary and most important responsibility.  And it is healthy (physically, emotionally and spiritually) to present yourself exactly as you are.

Representing yourself authentically by speaking your truth is an indicator of healthy self-esteem.

It indicates  you are not dependent on the reactions of others to make you feel OK.
You are not dependent on their validation of your feelings.

You know with every fiber of your being that you have the right to your feelings AND you have the courage to voice them.

You also know that others have the same right that you do and you listen to their truth.

Honoring your truth and others' truth will make it possible to coexist in a world of many differing thoughts and opinions and the mutual respect you extend to others will invite their respect in return and make it much easier to find the common ground within your divergent views.

We are all on our own individual journeys and these journeys progress at their own pace in their own way.  As we honor and respect others' journeys and our own we free ourselves up to move forward in our personal growth and learning.

Speaking your truth also has a special profound effect on others.

People feel a wonderful sense of trust and comfort when they know that what you say is what you really feel and, therefore, all parties involved (and you) can move forward in the communication  process and, if desired, in the navigation of the possibly differing views into a commonly accepted one.

Speaking Your Truth  is a beautiful gift you give yourself.

It is  liberating to feel completely free to show the world who you truly are.  It is good for the body and soul and it enhances your relationships to let yourself be truly known.

I speak my truth so that I can keep my Heart FREE TO  FLY.  I listen to your truth so
that you Can Join Me.
